Commissioner Secretary L&E inspected proposed 100 bed ESIC hospital site in Budgam Health institute to cover 100 percent reimbursement of medicine, medical expenditure of patients under ESIC

Budgam, Feb, 15: Commissioner Secretary, Labour and Employment Saurabh Bhagat today inspected the proposed site for Employees Sate Insurance Corporation (ESIC), 100 bed hospital at SIDCO Ompora.

Secretary was accompanied by District Development Commissioner, Budgam Tariq Hussain Ganaie, while as ADC Budgam, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani and GM DIC, Mohammad Ashraf, GM Sidco Aga Aijaz and Deputy Labour Commissioner Kashmir, Ahmad Hussain Bhat, Deputy CMO, Tehmina Bukhari, Tehsildar Nusrat Aziz, AD Labour Hafsa Qayoom and other concerned were also present on the Occasion. 

During inspection, secretary said that the 100 bed ESIC hospital shall be established with state of the infrastructure to strengthen health care facilities in the district. He informed that the 40 kanals of land have been acquired as leased out by Sidco for establishment of hospital which shall function and cater better patient care during emergency times. Secretary informed including 10 number of operation theatres, all required men and machinery shall remain deployed at the hospital to provide better health facilities to the patients. Speaking on the occasion, he stated the ESIC scheme covers 100 percent reimbursement of medicines, medical expenditure at the hospital including referrals to territory care hospital and additionally providing various insurance covers for death and disabilities.  

Secretary further directed concerned to ensure early start of work on the project, and emphasized on development of robust drainage system, road connectivity and wall construction at an earliest for smooth functioning of the hospital.

On the occasion, DDC Budgam Tariq Hussain Ganai briefed Secretary about work already done regarding the land demarcation, lease out of the site and other formalities being carried out for the early work start on the hospital at proposed site. DDC said that all the concerned shall coordinate and pace up to clear all formalities and start work on the required infrastructure for the hospital.
