The KVIB Department is involved in providing Hand holding support to the un-employed youth who are actual artisans under different trades by providing the subsidy through various scheme under PMEGP & JKREGP. |

The KVIB Department provides the Govt. sponsored schemes for establishment of various small scale units. 1. Manufacturing sector up to 25.00 lacs 2. Service sector up to 10.00 lacs 3. Trading sector will be same The KVIB provides 35% m.m (subsidy) against loan sanctioned by the Banks. |

Plans, programmes, schemes and projects |
The Schemes and programmes implemented through this office for the benefit of unemployment youth and also in case of established units are as: 1. Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP), the scheme aimed at employment generation by providing credit linked subsidy up to 35 % to the potential entrepreneurs for establishing micro enterprises with project cost upto 25 Lac in both manufacturing and servicing sector. 2. Jammu & Kashmir Rural Employment Generation Programme (U.T) Sponsored Scheme. To harness and develop the entrepreneurial skills among the rural unemployed youth of the state. To mobilize the bank finance for establishment of Village Industries sector of the state on modern lines. To generate employment opportunities in rural areas of the state through setting up of new self- employment ventures/projects/village industries enterprises. To increase the wage earning capacity of artisans/workers and contribute to increase in the growth rate of rural employment. |

Services offered |
The field staff of the department is working throughout the district at block level to identify the actual artisans who are applying grant of loan and then it is scrutinizing by District Level Task Force Committee by conducting DLTFC meeting after every six months of the financial year. |
