Mission, vision, objectives, citizen charter

School Education is an important segment of the educational delivery system considerably contributing to the development scenario in the State. While elementary education provides the basis that’s reinforced at the secondary tier, the plus two constitutes a core component where the teeming thousands of young boys and girls fan out into different career choices and options. In recent years, School Education has recorded an unprecedented thrust, particularly in the elementary segment. The SSA now Samagra Shiksha has come as a boon, as it were, unleashing a series of initiatives seeking universal enrolment and retention, reduction of social, regional and gender gaps, mainstreaming of the children with special needs and promotion of quality parameters.

At the district Level, Chief Education Officer is assisted by Dy. Chief Education Officer and District Education Planning officer. Besides Principals of Higher Secondary Schools, Zonal Education Officers, Headmasters of Secondary School are also directly under the control of Chief Education Officers.

At Zonal Level, we have a Zonal Education Officer in each Zone who is responsible for Elementary Education. Zonal Education Planning Officer of the rank of Headmaster of High School assists zonal Education Officer. The Zonal Education Planning officer besides attending to the Headquarter also assists ZEO in matters related to Planning, Statistics and Inspection.

Samagra Shiksha:

 Samagra Shiksha – an Integrated Scheme of School Education has subsumed the three Schemes of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) and Teacher Education (TE). The scheme has been implemented w.e.f. 01-04-2018 and envisages the ‘school’ as a continuum from pre-school, primary, upper primary, secondary to Senior Secondary levels with the vision to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education from pre-school to senior secondary stage.

Mid Day Meals

The Mid Day Meal Scheme is a school meal programme in India designed to better the Nutritional Standing of School age children Nation wide the scheme. The Scheme supplies free lunches on working days for children in primary and upper primary classes in government, govt aided, local body schools. Protecting children from classroom hunger, • increasing school enrolment and attendance, • improving socialisation among children belonging to all castes, • addressing the issue of malnutrition among children and •social empowerment of women by creating employment. •Improving the nutritional status of children in classes I – VIII in Government, Local Body and Government aided schools, and EGS (education • guarantee scheme) and AIE(alternate innovative education) centres.

Q. My child was studying in an unrecognised school. Can he/she take admission in Government school? A. Yes, This will be considered under Non-Plan admission category

Q. What is the procedure for Grievance Redressed?

A. Grievances Redressed cell is available as per the RTE rules.

Q. Do I have to pay something to school authorities while taking admission in school?

A. as per govt norms in vogue.
