Block Level Cluster
All the required benefits/facilities, viz. work shed/Looms/Solar lights/Skill Up-gradation training programme etc are available for Kanishawl/Pashmina Weavers in Block level Clusters (Handloom wing of the department) which is sanctioned by the Development Commisioner for Handlooms Ministry of Textiles Govt. of India. The Block level Cluster development approach focuses on formation of weavers’ group consisting of 200 or more than 200 weavers in a particular block so that the weavers become self-sustainable.
The members of the Cluster will be provided benefits such as Work shed/Looms/Solar lights/Skill Up-gradation training programme etc. so that the weavers become self-sustainable.
How To Apply
The programme is a collective instead of individual. The Block Level Cluster is established in any habitation where from a representation/demand from a large junk of registered Weavers is made by the registered Cooperative Society of the area.
