Replacement of Traditional Loom by Modern Carpet Looms

In order to improve the working conditions of the carpet weavers and to increase the productivity of the carpet manufacturing the then State Government with the assistance of Ministry of Textiles GOI has embarked upon a programme of replacement of traditional looms by Modern Carpet Looms under Mega Carpet Cluster Scheme to the carpet weavers

All registered carpet artisans

Benefits:

To improve the working condition of the carpet weavers and to increase the productivity of the carpet manufacturing as the traditional carpet looms are more laborious and time consuming. Besides environmentally non-viable by usage of deodar logs for rural effecting deforestation and having physical disorder and fatigue. While as the MCL is user friendly and easy to operate roller replaced by MS Drums, conserve forests, good quality products, time saving, less fatigue or physical disorder.

How To Apply

Any registered carpet weaver can apply through a simple application along with Photostat of Aadhar Card/ Voter-ID Card, Artisan Registration Card and affidavit through respective Handicrafts Block Offices.
