DDC Budgam reviews expenditure status of Capex Budget
Budgam, Feb 01: District Development Commissioner Budgam Tariq Hussain Ganaie today took first hand detailed review of progress of expenditure achieved till date and status of works completed besides in hand projects earmarked to be completed by current financial year under revised capex budget allotted to various sectors.
The meeting among other was attended by ADC Budgam, CPO, SDMs, DIO, CEO, all Ex.Ens and other concerned officers.
During the meeting, it was given out that under district capex outlay for 2019-2020 an amount of Rs. 154.94 crores was approved including central and state shares barring loan provision. Out of this approved outlay till date Rs 20.40 crores was made available to be expended on the projects identified under key sectors like R&B, PHE, PDD RDD, Education, Health, Agriculture, Horticulture and other allied sectors.
The DDC was briefed that up to ending October-2019 an amount of Rs. 12.79 crore has been spent thus achieving a target of 62 percent expenditure from the available outlay. It was also given out that due to inclement weather conditions causing a lot of inconveniences in achieving the targeted expenditure and work done under all sectors particularly under revised capex plans which culminates ending March, 2020. The DDC urged all concerned to put strenuous efforts to mitigate all the requirements needed to achieve targets under given time frame.
The meeting was told that under MGNREGA an amount of Rs 35.94 crore was made available under current fiscal and till date Rs. 31.98 crores has been allotted to the concerned DDOs for onward expenditure to mitigate the demands projected under liabilities/ convergence etc.
The DDC stressed on the timely completion of all projects and said that he shall be taking review in routine to ensure there is no delay in the work completion.
