Digital J&K Week Budgam

“Digital J&K Week” celebrations were observed from July 25 to July 31across district Budgam. All departments participated in these week-long celebrations where they showcased the services provided by their respective departments.

The District Administration Budgam organized a 3-day Digi- Mela at Sheikh-ul-Alam Hall Budgam from 25-26 July where as many as 23 different departments set up their stalls to generate awareness about over 200 online services launched by the Government. The Digi- Mela at Sheikh-ul-Alam Hall was attended by Deputy Commissioner Budgam , Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza, ADC Budgam Dr. Nasir Ahmad, and other senior officers of the district. DC said that the week is celebrated for the benefit of the public and to increase transparency in service delivery to the people. He said the J&K government has launched more than 200 digital services across all of its departments. Up to 202 online services have been connected to Rapid Assessment Services (RAS), which allows beneficiaries to evaluate the services provided by the departments.

On the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Budgam Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza flagged off a mobile van from DC Office for dissemination of awareness about online services across the district.

Week-long programs were also held at SDM offices, Tehsil Headquarters, CSCs, Municipalities, Schools where online services offered by various departments were highlighted and awareness to the general public was given. The event witnessed a huge gathering of students and locals who were sensitized about the digital services.

During the weeklong program “Digital J&K week” and the “Digi Mela” citizens availed online services of the departments and also received awareness about the online services through these stalls.
