DDC Budgam inspects ongoing works of various developmental projects in Magam

Budgam, August 1: DDC Budgam Dr. Syed Sehrish Asgar, today inspected the ongoing various developmental works in Magam area of Budgam.

During the visit, the DDC directed the Tehsildar and Municipal Authorities to ensure that no illegal construction takes place in the area especially around the main town. Further they were directed to conduct anti encroachment drives and get state land cleared if any has been encroached at the earliest.

During the visit the DDC directed the concerned to ensure that the area is polythene free and the concerned authorities were directed to intensify anti polythene drives on war footing.

The DDC laid emphasis on cleanliness and sanitation. She directed the concerned Municipal Authorities to identify alternate location for dumping of waste and clean the Ferozpure Nallah so that waste does not percolate in it.

Meanwhile, various public delegations also called on the DDC who gave them a patient hearing and assured them that all their genuine grievances would be addressed on priority.

Regarding scarcity of drinking water facility in few areas including Chak Kawoosa and Narbal villages, the DDC took stock of the work on alternate water supply scheme which was approved in the meeting with Secretary PHE, I&FC.

The DDC also directed the concerned to intensify market checking and take strict action against the shopkeepers, traders and wholesale dealers for violating the government approved rate list.

The DDC was accompanied by SDM Beerwah, Teshidar and other senior officers.

Emphasizing on intensifying cleanliness drive, She directed the municipality authorities to ensure lifting of the garbage from the area on regular basis.
