Dr Samoon launches WISE App for Online teaching in Budgam and Reasi on Pilot Basis

In order to give impetus to online education Dr Asgar Samoon today launched WISE app for District Budgam and Reasi in a meeting convened  at DC Office New Conference Hall Budgam.

The meeting among others was attended by DC Budgam Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza, ADC Budgam, JD Education (K), Principal DIET Beerwah, CEO Budgam, DIO, ZEO’s, School teachers and other concerned. DC Reasi and Director School Education Jammu and others concerned also participated in the meeting through video conferencing.

Speaking on the occasion Dr. Samoon said that WISE App is a new tool to overcome issues faced during online classes on Zoom and other software applications. WISE App is a simplified form and shall provide platform for online classes in much better organized and systematic manner. Dr. Samoon emphasized that the need of the hour is to have updated versions of technology which can efficiently run with minimal errors.

During the meeting a demo on how to use WISE App was presented by Muneeb Masoodi an IITian from Mumbai.

There shall be training for all teachers in WISE App  a success district Budgam and Reasi during a course  for one week to aquaint them with the usage of WISE App Dr. Samoon added. One of the benefit and edge of WISE app  is that it allows sharing of material and conduct of examinations which other software  application lack.This shall prove to be significant  change in providing quality and outcome based learning for students.

During the meeting Dr. Samoon instructed all the teaching fraternity to remain mentally prepared for any challenge. He said that, Govt. schools are opening up with 50% of teachers reporting though its not complete opening and students from class 9th to 12th are resuming classes on voluntary basis. Dr Samoon reiterated that no profiteering in the name Administration feel/capilation fee shall be permitted and those private educational institutions found involved shall be deregistered as per law. Dr Samoon further said that Govt. is committed to have assured time bound promotion for lecturers and other issues shall also be looked into.

During the meeting, DC Budgam and DC Reasi in one voice hailed the initiative of launching WISE App and said that District Administrations shall provide all necessary support to make usage of WISE App a success for both Teachers and students.
