Full dress rehearsal for Republic Day parade held at Budgam

Budgam, Jan 24: Ahead of 70th Republic Day- 2019, full dress rehearsal was held today at Sports Stadium Budgam.

Additional District Development Commissioner Budgam Khurshid Ahmad Sanai unfurled the national flag, inspected the parade and took the salute at the march-past.

Speaking on the occasion, ADDC Budgam highlighted the importance of the Republic Day celebrations and deliberated on various development initiatives undertaken in the district for the progress and prosperity of public.

On the occasion, the various contingents of JKP, JKAP, IRP, CRPF, Home Guard, besides contingents of NCC and students from different schools also participated in the march past parade.

Dy. SP Akash Kohli led the march past as parade commander with Inspector Yasir Arfat as assistant parade commander on the occasion. 

Braving cold and harsh climatic conditions, students from various schools presented and performed scintillating cultural programmes on the occasion.

Among others, SP Budgam, Amod Ashok Nagpure, ADC Budgam, Khurshid Ahmad Shah, IAS probationer Bilal Mahi-u-din Bhat, ASP Budgam, ACR Budgam and other senior Civil and Police officers were present on the occasion.
