PMEGP DLTFC Meeting Held at Budgam

Budgam, July 04: District Level Task Force Committee (DLTFC) convened a meeting today under the chairmanship of Chief Planning Officer Budgam, Rafeeq Ahmad Dar. During the meeting it was revealed that 150 loan cases sponsored by  District Industries Centre under the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) have been approved. A total number of 1281 cases have been received by the implementing agencies which include DIC, KVIC and KVIB. The meeting was also attended by General Manager, District Industries Centre Budgam, Syed Sajad Qadri(KAS), Functional Manager DIC, Ifham Shah(KAS), representatives of KVIC, KVIB, Lead Bank, ITI Budgam and other concerned officials of DIC Budgam.During the meeting it was unanimously decided that the approved cases shall be forwarded to concerned bank branches spread in the different areas of District Budgam.Pertinent to mention here that, PMEGP is a self employment subsidy driven programme which generates the employment opportunities in rural as well as in urban areas. The Chief Planning Officer urged upon DLTFC members in highlighting the beneficial advantages of PMEPG scheme in eradicating unemployment issues, besides ensure participation and involvement of all beneficiaries from gross root level. He also stressed for mass awareness among unemployed youth.
