  • Voter Education: –

1. SVEEP (Systematic Voters Education and ‘Greater Participation for a Stronger Democracy’

Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation program, better known as SVEEP, is the flagship program of the Election Commission of India for voter education, spreading voter awareness and promoting voter literacy in India. Since 2009, we have been working towards preparing electors and equipping them with basic knowledge related to the electoral process through various programmes at Colleges, Schools etc.

2. National Voters Day:-

In Order to encourage more young voters to take part in election processes National Voters Day is being celebrated on 25th January Of every year at various headquarters of all the assembly constituencies.

3. Electoral Literacy Clubs: –

Through ELCs we aim at strengthening the culture of electoral participation among young and future voters. An Electoral Literacy Club is a platform to engage school students through interesting activities and hands-on experience to sensitise them on their electoral rights and familiarise them with the electoral process of registration and voting. ELCs are also present in colleges and rural communities.

In addition to the above Special Summary Revision is done at proper time in order to enrol the new eligible voters and continuous updation is being run throughout the year for the ease and benefit of voters.

Services offered

  • All the required material is being provided to voters from the office Of Election Naib Tehsildar Budgam.
  • Generally all the needful voters are provided the following documents/formats for the purpose of :-
  • Form 6 for Inclusion
  • Form 7 for Deletion.
  • From 8 for Correction.
  • Now the eligible voters can easily apply online at https://nvsp.in. for all purposes of inclusion, deletion and correction
  • Copies of necessary documents should also be uploaded and are being approved after proper verification at all levels including BLOs, AERO and ERO level.

IT Applications used by District Administration Budgam in Parliament Election-2019.

Suvidha: 

The Election Commission Of India is working towards easing Candidates procedure for filing nomination and permission during the election period. The nomination and permission is filed through web application namely SUVIDHA.To make it accessible for the candidate to check the status and updates of his application we have created Candidate Mobile App. This app allows candidates to check the status of their nominations and permissions filed via SUVIDHA.

cVIGIL:

cVIGIL is an innovative mobile application for citizens to report Model Code of Conduct and Expenditure violations during the elections. ‘cVIGIL’ stands for Vigilant Citizen and emphasizes the proactive and responsible role citizens can play in the conduct of free and fair elections. cVIGIL, a user-friendly and easy to operate the android application, which can be used for reporting violations from the date of notifications for bye-election/ assembly/ parliamentary elections. The uniqueness of the app is that it only allows Live Photo/ video with auto location capture from within the app to ensure digital evidence for flying squads to act upon in a time-bound manner.

Pollstar:

In order to closely monitor poll preparedness and polling process, the Election commission would like to be in constant touch with their Polling Officers on Poll day and Pre-Poll day. The PollStar app prompts Polling Officers to answer the questions that the Election Commission wishes to ask at pre-determined times. 
The system compiles the entries made by Polling Officers, analyze and presents them to the senior administrators at the Election Commission.
To enhance the participation and the quality of responses, the system offers several features such as multiple attempts to contact POs and use of alternate phone numbers whenever required. 
The system shall also offer instant feedback on the response received, to acknowledge the inputs provided by the POs.

EMS:

EVM Management System is designed to manage inventory of EVM units. Tracking of units from manufacturer to state, state to state, district to district. It also shows status of units as per election process. It will handle whole election processes like marking FLC (First Level Check) Ok and Not OK, Randomization (First and Second), Marking and Unmarking EP and receiving back units in system after counting.

PWD:

In order to facilitate the Persons with Disability, Election commission of India has developed an android based mobile application i.e. PwD App. This is a pioneered application which provides the facility of informing the voter themselves as a person with the disability so that the same can be reflected in the electoral roll. With the convenience of simple clicks, the person with disabilities can request for registering themselves as electors. Upon receiving the request the election commission will ensure that the booth level officer will reach the doorstep. 

Voter helpline:

The ICT division of Election Commission of India has undertaken a new initiative by designing a mobile application for developing a culture of avid electoral engagement and making informed and ethical ballot decisions among citizens of the country. This app will allow users to easily find the information they are looking for. Citizens can browse the app based on their own interests and learn more about the Election Process in a more engaging way.  The Election Commission of India has significantly modernized this Citizen interface to accommodate a growing user-base, as the Election Commission of India continues to branch out into new technology areas and caters for massive information dissemination requirements for its 87.5 Crore Electors during the General Elections.

EVM tracker: 

An innovative on-line tracking system powered by BSNL to manage fleets comprising of trucks, car carriers, trailers, tankers, containers or vehicles moving hazardous and specialty explosive chemicals etc. 
The eTracK vehicle tracking system uses vehicle-mounted, microprocessor-controlled device which sends periodic messages from the vehicle to a network command centre through SMS/GPRS. The received data is authenticated and forwarded to an application server which provides tracking information through an internet. Customers are provided a user name and password to access the fleet information on line. The user also has options to receive tracking information via e-mail, fax or SMS besides the facility of calling the customer support team on a toll-free telephone line. 

NGS – National Grievances Services:

Unified National Public Grievance Redressal System is a bi-lingual system and has been designed to Deliver Services to the Citizen of Country by providing redressal to the complaints lodged by them hence maximizing the transparency and providing services for better management of Elections. NGS Provides single window common interface to the citizens for submitting their complaints,System forwards the complaints to appropriate authority & keeps the user informed about its progress

JKEDIS: 

Designed and developed by NIC JK to manage poll staff  and Randomization of poll staff for election duty.

NVSP:

The portal was developed with an aim to provide single window service electors. Through NVSP, a user can avail and access various services such as access the electoral list, apply for voter id card, apply online for corrections in voter’s card, view details of Polling booth, Assembly Constituency and Parliamentary constituency, and get the contact details of Booth Level officer, Electoral Registration Officer, among other services.

ERO Net:

ERO-Net is envisioned keeping in the mind the mandate of ECI, that no eligible voter be left behind irrespective of his language or physical ability. The system strives to make an applicant’s entry in e-roll unambiguous and error free without much of hassle. ERO-Net will enable various services to external stakeholders and will also help in improving efficiency, decision making of internal stakeholders.

ETPBS:

Electronically transmitted Postal Ballot System (ETPBS) is developed by Election Commission of India with the help of Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), for the use of the Service Voters. It is a fully secured system, having two layers of security. Secrecy is maintained through the use of OTP and PIN and no duplication of casted Electronically Transmitted Postal Ballot (ETPB) is possible due to the unique QR Code

This system enables the entitled service voters to cast their vote using an electronically received postal ballot from anywhere outside their constituency. The voters who make such a choice will be entitled for Postal Ballot delivered through Electronic Media for a particular election.

The developed System is implemented inline with the existing Postal Ballot System. Postal Ballot will be transmitted through Electronic Means to the voters It enables the voters to cast their vote on an electronically received postal ballot from their preferred location, which is outside their originally assigned voting constituency. This system would be an easier option of facilitating voting by the electors as the time constraint for dispatch of postal ballot has been addressed using this system.

Webcasting:

Webcasting was done in around 30 selected Polling stations in district budgam using BSNL Connectivity, to online monitor the voting process.
