Marketting Support (Publicity and exhibitions)
The scheme provides marketing support to the registered Weavers/Unit holders/Cooperative Societies of the department through their participation in National or Special Handloom Expo’s, of Handloom department within the UT or outside the UT.
Credit Card Scheme
The department of Handloom provides financial support of Rs. 2 Lacs to the Individual Weavers/Artisans under New Credit Card Scheme to the Weavers/Artisans of the district registered with office of the Assistant Director Handloom Budgam.
Weavers MUDRA Scheme
The department of Handloom provides financial support to the Individual Weavers or Unit holders under Pradhan Mantri Weavers MUDRA Yojna (merged from Wevers Credit Card) to the registered Artisans of Pashmina/Kanishawl ,Handloom Weaving and Pashmina Spinning Craft from Rs. 1 lac to Rs. 2 Lacs.
Unit Registration-Handloom
The department provides Unit registration to the group of Artisans in Pashmina/Kanishawl Weaving, Handloom Weaving, Pashmina Spinning and Cutting & Tailoring Craft comprising of 5 or more registered members within the department after proper verification by the concerned field officer of the Department.
Individual Registration/Unit Registration-Handloom
The department provides registration to the individual Weavers/Artisans in Pashmina/Kanishawl Weaving, Handloom Weaving, Pashmina Spinning and Cutting & Tailoring Craft after proper verification by the concerned field officer of the Department.
Handloom Training Programme
n order to broaden the artisan pace and to maintain rather augment the human resource required in the industry. The department is providing training to the trainees in 05 Elementary and 01 Advance training Centre of the district with an intake capacity of 120 trainees in Handloom Weaving, Kanishawl Weaving and Readymade Garments craft.
